So you’ve applied, now what?

Here is some more information so you can feel informed as to what our hiring and interview process is like. We pride ourselves on finding perfect fits, so our collaborative hiring process is comprehensive. You can expect the process to take on average between 3-4 weeks from start to finish. Be sure to let us know of any deadlines, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

We’ll start by reviewing your resume. We’re curious about you, and your experience. Please be sure to include information that showcases your skills and interests, such as your GitHub profile, portfolio, or personal website.

 
2. Chat.png
 

We’ll email you to schedule an initial phone call. Tell us what you’re passionate about, your accomplishments, and the kind of challenges you’re looking for in your next role. If we feel there’s a mutual fit, you'll be scheduled for a chat with a hiring manager. We want to know the depth of your knowledge as it relates to the role.

We may ask to see samples of your work. Depending on the position you’re applying for, these can be writing, code, or design samples. There might also be a take home exercise to help us understand if we’re a match.

 
4. Meet.png
 

Collaboration, feedback, and discussion are key to all of our roles. As such, we want to make sure you meet the people you’d be working with every day. Normally, we’d invite you in to one of our offices in-person, but with the current state of the world, we are working 100% remotely for now. As such, your interviews will be conducted virtually over Zoom.

After interviewing with a handful of cross-functional Akilians (and likely a member of our leadership team as well), we’ll review everyone’s feedback before requesting references. Depending on the role, we may invite you for multiple interviews to make sure we’re a fit.

We want to hear from people who’ve worked with you. Ideally, that feedback comes from previous supervisors or managers. Once we’re confident we have a fit, we’ll send out an official job offer!
